For the Gate series, I built wooden frames using different architectural thresholds, such as a rugby goal or a narrow door frame as a blueprint. Thresholds mark the transition from one zone to another; they organize a before-and-after. While some may signal to stay away, others may be inviting. In my series, I focus on the celebratory aspects of transition, which I equal to embracing change.
